The PS4 may be last-gen, but millions of people still game on them daily. Unfortunately, these consoles develop hardware issues over time — HDMI failures, overheating, the dreaded Blue Light of Death, and disc drive problems are all extremely common. The good news: most of these are fixable.

The PS4's HDMI port is one of its weakest points. A yanked cable, a bumped console, or simple wear and tear can damage the port and leave you with a black screen. We use microsoldering to remove the damaged port and install a replacement — including rebuilding any lifted pads on the motherboard if the damage goes deeper than the connector.
PS4 consoles are notorious for overheating, especially the original and Pro models. If your PS4 sounds like a jet engine, shuts down during gameplay, or displays overheating warnings, the thermal paste has likely dried out and the heatsink is clogged with dust. We do a full teardown, deep clean, and thermal paste replacement to bring temperatures back to normal.
The Blue Light of Death is when your PS4 pulses blue but never outputs video or reaches the home screen. This can be caused by a failed HDMI port, a bad HDMI encoder IC, a power supply issue, or a hard drive failure. We diagnose which component is actually causing the problem and repair it — not just guess and replace parts.
PS4 disc drives fail for a variety of reasons — worn rollers, faulty lasers, or mechanical issues that prevent discs from being accepted or read. We repair and replace disc drive components to get your console reading games again.
Stick drift, broken triggers, unresponsive buttons, or charging issues — we repair DualShock 4 controllers too. A thumbstick module replacement or trigger repair is much cheaper than buying a new controller.
